Pros: great picture quality, good price, hasn't over heated like my old projectors, adjustable for just about any size wall/screen.
Cons: audio from the projector its self isn't that good (you can connect your audio via Bluetooth to another system which is amazing) and the HDMI cord it came with broke after 3 uses.
Tips: get a better HDMI and also an adapter (not included) if you want to connect your phone
All in all I would highly recommend this projector!
This can work with your game system, TV, and laptop.
This projector gives a clear view with an easy setup.
It looks a little grainy. Like the way those 90s big screens used to look. And it shows up better in a dark room. But not a big deal. Saved me like $400 on a tv 🤩
Lightweight and sturdy, packaged very well.
Cant wait for movie nights with the kids!
Here are some tips and tricks I have learned that I want to share with you.
1. It will not stream Netflix and Hulu from your cell phone.
2. There is a work around- use a Chromecast or Firestick. Works wonders.
It does play videos from your cell phone when hooked up with an HDMI cable. When doing this though the sound doesn't play from the projector- it plays from your phone.
The picture quality to me is amazing. Some smaller words are blurry but that happens. Tonight I was able to snuggle up with my husband in bed and watch Sword Art Online on our ceiling and it was amazing. Seriously though, the chromecast, roku, firestick is the way to go with this projector.
and you can adjust the contrast and the brightness in settings it also works great for PS3 and Nintendo switch and USB drive with movies or displaying photo on wall
Some things to note though
- it’s audio isn’t too good it’s kinda mid
( you can connect earbuds or connect another speaker
- it’s quality is 420p
- if you want to connect to ur iPhone you have to buy a lighting to hdmi cable and it’s not included in the box
- it’s fans are soft but when the video is playing it’s not noticeable
- it’s not Bluetooth
If you want a 4k Bluetooth monitor with great speakers maybe spend $300 on one
Second this thing is bright!! Most mini led projectors I’ve used need absolute darkness for a clear picture. I can use this in my living room while it’s still light outside. Hard to beat this level of brightness for the money.
This was a perfect way for my wife and I to have a movie night in a blanket fort. We’re going to take it with us this weekend to have a movie night out by the lake after a picnic. So many fun date ideas from
It's small and will run off a USB jump pack but comes with an AC adapter which is a bit more reliable.
You "can" run the menu options using the buttons on the projector but it's not intuitive and the symbols are hard to read, the remote is much easier to use for navigation.
If you don't care about HD and you're using this in a dark room it works well. The fan is a little loud for the size but it's not over bearing, and the speaker is decent.
the sound of this is great as for the brightness you need to show it on a clear wall or it's not so clear it opens very wide the view as for the machine itself it's way smaller then expected but it seems to be made strong...
it's still working already a long time
it's easy to take around sometimes it does get a drop hot the machine...
but overall it's great and does the job i want it to especially for the price.
UPDATE: love it again. I bought a fire stick and BAM! game changer.
as for picture its not bad as long as its a nice white back ground and VERY dark it looks like a 720p old tube flat screen tv. if that gives you an idea on it, not super granny but its not any where close to 1080 but its a projector for under a 50 bucks... i mean come on! i put video files on a usb drive it was a 16gig and it read it and the files just fine also read the picture files as well i made a little slide show of our wedding hint hint guys DOUBLE XP points for that...!!
the built in sound is not good at all... but i took a pair of old computer speakers and that worked out well.
the built in battery life is enough for you to get though maybe 2 movies, but a small power pack kept this thing alive for another movie so that was handy. for the price i am very happy with it and if any thing ever happens to this one i will buy it again.
i also plan on taking it on a hiking trip put a few backwoods horror movies on a thumb drive and watch this in the deep woods or up in the mountains and freak my self out watching them.. haha
if you are wondering and not sure if you want to buy this ..... DO it! fun little toy .. or date night movie..
You do need a dark room as the brightness level is not overly bright in a light room. But this has a built in speaker so you don't need to attach speakers too it.
My son was thrilled to take it out with his friends and use a power converter out of his car add play movies of a usb device on a sheet draped over three SUV. They created their own drive in movie with it.
The buttons on the top all functioned well but it also comes with a remote for indirect control.
My son is happy with his birthday gift and I couldn't be happier.
Once I got it to work, everything went smooth. I have been using my laptop with the HDMI input (note that the HDMI cable is not included), and the videos play really smooth. I have taken a video from YouTube during mid-afternoon, when there is still some light from outside, and it is very enjoyable to watch. I like that the projector turns on and off within seconds, and that the menus are very responsive. It also has a built-in speaker with decent volume. I plan to connect it to my old Raspberry Pie, and have a "media station" in our kids room.
Overall, I find this a fantastic toy projector, and my son is delighted with it!
